Ashley Greene is headed to vaudeville …sort of. Screen Daily reports that Twilight franchise starlet Ashley Greene is set to star alongside Christopher Walken, Shirley MacLaine and Adam Beach in “Boom Boom Room.” The film, which bears no connection to the Black Eyed Peas’ song, follows the story of a young woman (Greene) who stumbles upon two vaudeville stars (Walker and MacLaine) who live in a magical desert. This “mystical drama,” as dubbed by Screen Daily, definitely sounds like something out of The Magical Mystery Tour, which really, based on the cast and plot synopsis, doesn’t seem that farfetched.

Australian director/writer Lian Lunson describes the story as having “the essences of everyday life but in a fairy tale landscape.” Although Greene played a mythical creature in the Twilight Saga films, this film is definitely one that’ll bring her out of her realm. Perhaps the most important question begging to be asked of the film is: will Greene be performing? She may not be a professional singer or dancer, but in a “magical desert” anything is possible, right?

Attached to the project as executive producers are Bono and Wim Wenders, while Lunson and Aaron Lubin will produce. Filming is scheduled to take place this summer in New Mexico.
